Ani le dodi ve dodi li ... אני לדודי ודודי לי

This is a wedding card I made for our neighbour ,she got married last week .The sentence "Ani le dodi ve dodi li" is a very beautiful phrase in the Hebrew Language. It can be roughly translated as "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine." It is a phrase that was taken from the Song of Songs (a book of the Old Testament of Bible). This book is the celebration of a bride and groom. Many circles think that the groom is King David. The book offers praise and love to the beloved. While this phrase is found within a religious text, it is very romantic. It is simple but it is so romantic because it shows the commitment a person has toward the beloved.

Beautiful Debby, love your story behind the card and what a great verse to put on the card, I am sure they will love it.
You and your family have been in my thoughts these past weeks
